Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Below we explain which personal data we collect through this website, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and which rights you have. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Croatian law.

What data we collect

Through the enquiry form we collect only the data you provide yourself:

  • Vehicle data: make, model, year, mileage and condition.
  • Vehicle photos: images you voluntarily attach (up to 5 photos).
  • Contact data: full name, phone number and, optionally, e-mail address and a note.

Please do not include personal data that is not necessary for the appraisal (for example, licence plates or documents showing third parties' personal data) in the form or photos.

Purpose and legal basis

We use the data solely to appraise your vehicle, contact you and carry out the buy-out. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, together with the consent you give by submitting the form. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Retention

We keep the data only as long as necessary to process your enquiry and complete the buy-out, and to meet legal obligations. Once the purpose has been fulfilled, we delete or anonymise it.

Cookies and analytics (Google Analytics)

This site uses Google Analytics, a web-analytics service by Google, to understand site usage and improve content. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised visit data (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). This data does not allow your direct identification. Processing is carried out by Google as a data processor.

You can restrict cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Your rights

At any time you have the right to access your data, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and withdrawal of consent. Send requests to auto@bericar.hr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
